J'adore, merci beaucoup

First of all, j'adore! The Little Prince, or Le Petit Prince in it's original French, is a charming tale of a prince from a faraway star adventuring from one planet to the next, looking for a place that can feel like home.
I've always found the idea of being an astronaut and traveling through space romantic. Like the prince, I'm a restless soul and can relate to his search for a wistful, elusive something.
The author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, skillfully tells a tale that can enchant children and still capture adults. The prince meets several silly characters along his journey, including the narrator. They each teach him a brief but powerful lesson about life.
Some of the best parts of the book are the accompanying illustrations, drawn by the author himself. Throughout the story, he humorously makes fun of their mediocrity.
The ending was tender and I found myself feeling a tad emotional. Like the narrator, I had begun to feel something special for the little prince.
The most captivating parts of the book were the profound quotes. Read the story, you'll understand what I mean. But for now I'll leave you with this little golden nugget. “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
