How I make time for reading

I obviously love reading. But as an overwhelmed college student, it's difficult to find time for that.

After poring over textbooks and spending eight hours in class and at work, the last thing I want to do is read more. But here are some of the ways that I make reading fun despite being in college.

1. Read books that are actually interesting.

After being forced to read books I don't care about at all, it's a little refreshing to read something that I'm actually interested in.

2. Read in small doses.

I read like 10 pages at a time max. I get bored super easily and it's hard to just sit and do a marathon session of reading. But if you read 10 pages (or less) on a regular basis, soon enough you've finished the book.

3. Go somewhere cool.

It's way more fun reading in a comfy coffee shop with a baguette than at my house. Plus I can't fall asleep versus reading in my bed.

4. Create a book list.

Having a list of things I'm excited about reading helps keep me motivated to read more.

5. Drink tea.

I loooooove drinking a cozy cup of tea while I'm reading. Or maybe coffee is more your thing?

I hope these tips help because the strain of college shouldn't prevent you from doing something you love!
